About Us 
| The vision for
our church began in 1990 when the National Home Mission Board of the
National Association of Free Will Baptists was contacted by a group
of people in central New Hampshire who were interested in starting
a new work in Laconia. Some of those interested had attended the First
Free Will Baptist Church in New Durham, New Hampshire and thus the
contact was made.
God has blessed the planting of Heritage Church with fruitful growth.
Having been started in 1992 as a church planting effort, it has
grown continuously throughout the past decade. Pastor Nason, a native of Houlton, Maine, has pastored churches in South Carolina and New Hampshire. He graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987, a Master of Divinity in 1991, and Doctor of Ministry degree in 2000. His wife Hope is from Gastonia, North Carolina and they have three children: Rebekah, 14; Caleb, 12; David, 10.

Heritage
is built on a solid foundation of systematic Bible preaching, evangelistic
outreach, and reverent worship. For the past 15 years Pastor Joel
Nason has been the sole pastor who has shepherded and fed the flock
as the sole Pastor in the church’s existence. Heritage has
developed a strong local ministry but remains globally minded in
its effort to get the gospel to the untold millions. We desire to
see total member participation in all aspects of the ministry.
